Personal data

moiom® processes the personal data of visitors and customers because they use our services on the websites. The following is an overview with examples of personal data we process

• – First name and last name

• – Gender

• – Address, zip code and city

• – Phone number

• – E-mail address

• – Financial information (e.g. bank account number, outstanding amounts, invoices)

• – VAT number

• – Other personal data that is actively provided (e.g. by mail, email or other means)

We do not process any special and/or sensitive personal data.

Storage & protection

‘moiom® is the official body responsible for the storage and protection of personal data. We do not sell personal data of visitors and customers to third parties.

Retention period

moiom® does not retain personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to realize the purposes for which the data was collected. The data of customers who have not made any further purchases for a period of 60 months are deleted.

Security

moiom® takes the protection of visitors’ and customers’ personal data seriously, and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted publication and unauthorized changes. We do keep statistics about the websites, for example the country of origin of visitors, but these are always stored strictly anonymously and securely. Cookies & analytics

moiom® uses cookies to make the websites as user-friendly as possible and to allow them to function optimally. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard disk during a visit to the website. moiom® needs cookies to recognize visitors and customers after a successful registration and to provide access to the secure environment for the duration of their visit. In addition, tracking cookies are used to map visitor and customer preferences. This helps moiom® to better tailor it’s content to the needs of customers and visitors and/or to provide better personalized offers.

Among other things, moiom® uses cookies to store which country is selected during the first visit to the websites. This prevents visitors from having to select the country again each time they visit the websites and ensures that the price is displayed in the desired currency. Furthermore, the use of cookies allows moiom® to see if someone has visited the website before. Cookies are also used to improve the visitor experience of the websites. moiom® uses third-party cookies to collect statistics for analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and for marketing relevant products on online platforms such as Facebook. The use of the retargeting and/or remarketing feature can be objected to via the opt-out page of the relevant third party.

Cookies never allow users to be identified by moiom®. Visitors or customers can regulate the use of cookies through their browser settings. Those who refuse cookies can still use our site but some features or parts of the site may not work optimally.

Processing outside the EU

moiom® is an organization that also operates outside the Netherlands. Because moiom® operates worldwide, personal data may be transferred, used, stored and otherwise processed in a country other than where it was collected. moiom® will in all cases ensure an adequate level of protection through EU model contracts and/or through licenses.

Purposes of data collection.

moiom® processes visitors’ and customers’ personal data as part of it’s business operations and provision of services, including for the following purposes:

• – To fulfill and process orders.

• – To process payments.

• – To send notifications about, for example, new products, events or offers. These notifications visitors and customers receive only if they have explicitly indicated that they want to receive them.

• – To send the moiom® newsletter.

• – To contact you via email or phone if necessary to provide necessary services.

• – To inform customers of changes to moiom®’s services.

• – To provide services.

• – For tax reasons, to protect our rights and/or to comply with our legal obligations in connection with any legal action, judgment or proceeding served on our websites.

moiom® bases it’s processing on the following bases:

• – Performance of the contract: in the context of it’s services and the conclusion of contracts, moiom® collects and uses personal data necessary for making an offer and for the conclusion and performance of the contract.

• – Legal obligation: the processing of personal data may be necessary to comply with legal obligations.

• – Legitimate interest: the collection and use of specific personal data may be necessary in connection with the business interests of moiom® and the performance of it’s business activities. Examples include commercial purposes, such as offering our services to someone who may be interested in them or conducting market research to improve our services.

• – Consent: moiom® may process personal data on the basis of consent. However, anyone is free to refuse or later withdraw consent. In this case, the performance of the contract or service may become impossible.

Rights of the data subject

The data subject has the right to access, correct or delete his/her own personal data. Visitors who have registered our web site can view, change or delete their personal data by logging in and going to My Personal Information in Account. In addition, the data subject has the right to withdraw a previously given consent for the processing of personal data, or to object to the processing of personal data by moiom®.

Data subjects have the right to data portability. That is, they may make a request to moiom® to transfer the personal data it manages via a data file to the data subject or, if desired, to another organization. A request for access, correction, deletion or transfer of personal data, a withdrawal of consent or an objection to the processing of personal data can be sent to info@moiom.com. moiom® asks in that case to send a copy of the data subject’s proof of identity with the request. This allows moiom® to verify the legitimacy of the transfer request. However, to protect privacy, please remove the photo, the MRZ (machine-readable zone, the series of numbers and letters at the bottom of the cover page of a passport or at the back of an ID card), the document number and the citizen service number from the copy. Finally, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in the Netherlands, the Authority for Personal Data.

moiom® reserves the right to change this statement. We recommend that you read this statement regularly to be aware of any changes.

moiom® has hereby attempted to provide the best possible picture of the personal data we process on behalf of visitors and customers, as well as the purposes and legal grounds for the processing. However, we realize that we cannot possibly be complete or exhaustive herein because there may be unforeseen purposes in the future for which personal data must be processed. We would like to emphasize, however, that even in such cases we will continue to treat the personal data of visitors and customers with the utmost care.
